The Peruanitos Foundation President, Jimmy Perez Johnson, thanked the gestures of solidarity received from more than twenty artists representing 6 Latin American countries and pointing out that the money collected will enable them to continue helping the displaced after the earthquake on last August 15.
During the dinner which took place last Saturday October 6, in the halls of Marriot Hotel (located downtown), Perez Johnson addressed the attendants to express his most sincere gratitude in the name of the thousands of boys and girls who are looking forward to a friendly hand that could mitigate the problems they face.
Today we are convoked by the tragedy caused by nature. Our Foundation arrived 72 hours after the disaster taking water and provisions for four thousand people. After a few days we came back with 240 tons of food, clothes, water and medicines in alliance with the Town Council of San Miguel and Caritas. We do not know what else might happen, but as far as there is one child in difficulties, we will be there, he pointed out.
