In an area where presently found debris, dust and stones, on Saturday 24, the Peruanitos Foundation inaugurate the new PRONOEI “My first steps”, specially authorized to serve children between 2 and 5 years old.
This work will be realized through a partnership between the villagers themselves represented by the president of the neighborhood, the district municipality whose mayor Tomás Andía has pledged his full support and Peruanitos Foundation.
In this way, the population will have a day care center for children, which will replace the suffocating plastic tent that has been enabled and the daily parents come to leave their children during the time they must go to work.
The new building will consist of two classrooms with their respective floor, which runs to a small playground, toilets, a water tank, a septic tank, a perimeter fence and its respective garden.
Given the extreme poverty of the area and considering that its inhabitants are victims of the earthquake, the president of the Peruanitos Foundation, Jimmy Perez Johnson, did not hesitate to attend this social event and will travel from Los Angeles to Peru to make official presentation of the work to the population.
