Peruanitos Foundation, an Americanbased not-for-profit organization that provides social assistance to orphan and at-risk Peruvian children, has chosen Monica Cabrejos as the new face of its 2011 campaign. Cabrejos travelled to Los Angeles to participate in the foundation’s promotional spot, which will be broadcast in different media outlets nationwide. Cabrejos was also part of a photo session by renowned Hollywood photo-grapher Omar Guerra; his location direction and make-up concept, combined with Cabrejos’ natural, sensual beauty, created oneof- a-kind images.
All graphic and television material will be released to media outlets throughout the year, according to Jimmy Perez-Johnson, Peruvian businessman and the head of the organization. For five years, Peruanitos Foundation has organized fundraisers that resulted in the construction of schools and shelters, as well as clothing and food for children in need.
“We are determined to continue providing our support to Peruvian children. The economic crisis that affected the United States is subsiding, and we have many pending projects to be implemented in Lima and other Peruvian provinces. Monica will play a key role, since she’ll motivate the Hispanic audience to continue with their donations,” Perez- Johnson said.
The popular artist arrived in Los Angeles last December 29th and returned to Peru last January 5th –welcoming the New Year in the United States. “I am flattered for having being chosen to represent Peruanitos Foundation, and I’m very excited to start the year with a trip abroad; this also means a good step for my career,” Cabrejos said.
