Low temperatures in the high Andes of Peru are killing many children and elderly. The figures grow and urgency short. In response, the Foundation Peruanitos not remain with folded arms for the third consecutive year reached the heights of Puno, wearing warm clothes and blankets.
Help came despite the difficulties and the risk that unemployment meant carriers nationwide on Tuesday 30 June, prompting the search for alternative transport units.
Then it was fulfilled with the delivery of the donation to 180 children up to twelve years, from the towns of Jayujayu, Copamaya, Ccocosani, Thunuhuaya, Santa Rosa de Yanaque and Acora Lake Zone.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of the District Municipality of Acora, province and department of Puno, Ivan Joel Arturo Flores Mamani Quispe and Panda, Deputy Manager of the Development Office.
It is important to remember that this donation was made possible by a significant percentage of proceeds from the show which featured the host of “Despierta America” Fernando Arau and the prominent Peruvian singer William Luna, at the Alex Theatre.
All people of good will who wish to collaborate with the work of the Foundation can participate and change the life of a Peruanito.
